Introduction Da Nang

Overview

Da Nang city is one of Vietnam's most important port cities and is home to a population of over 1.3 million. It has recently been voted as the most livable city in Vietnam, and it’s shockingly clean and organized. Situated as it is, on the East coast of the country, midway between the capital, Hanoi and the largest Ho Chi Minh city, it really couldn’t be better placed.

Covering an area of 1,255sq.km, Da Nang is also the central point connecting to four World Heritage sites including the former royal capital city of  Hue, Hoi An ancient town and My Son Sanctuary in Quang Nam and UNESCO-recognised Phong Nha-Ke Bang in Quang Binh Province.

That is not to say that the city has little to offer on its own merits. Da Nang is very famous for Cham Museum, Ba Na Hill, Son Tra Peninsula, Non Nuoc Beach, Han River… Da Nang has a total 90 kilometres of coastline and dozens of beaches, of which My Khe is well-known as one of the six most beautiful beaches in the world. Meanwhile, the city’s Ngu Hanh Son district is renowned as a centre for stone art, with Non Nuoc craft village stands at the foot of the Marble Mountain.

Da Nang is a very pleasant, ideal for a few days at the beach whilst exploring all the attractions that the area has to offer.
